Saturday 13th April

Join us for the Easter Handicap at Ellerslie

We celebrated the last Group I race of the entire New Zealand racing 2012/2013 season in style!

This year we celebrated the 139th running of the Group I $200,000 Manco Easter Handicap that was first run in 1874. The race is recognised as the premier mile on the New Zealand racing calendar and was the last Group I event of the New Zealand racing season. Having been been won by some of the greatest metric milers in New Zealand (such as Kindergarten, Grey Way and Tudor Light) this years winner Viadana can now be added to that list! Congratulations!

REMEMBER! You're more than welcome to bring along your own food, unopened non-alcoholic beverages, umbrellas, chairs, picnic tables, mini-marquees (and even the kitchen sink!) into public areas oncourse, but you'll have to leave the stronger stuff at home as Ellerslie is a fully-licensed venue and BYO alcohol is not permitted.
